All municipal authorities organized under the laws of the Commonwealth are eligible for active membership in the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association.

Associate memberships are also available for qualified persons, firms, or corporations. A description of the various types of PMAA membership and dues schedule appears below.

Active Membership Operating

Any municipal authority organized under the Municipal Authorities Act, or the Parking Authority Law.

Dues for the calendar year: Dues are calculated at the rate of one mil (1/10 of 1 percent) on each dollar of the previous fiscal year's gross revenues of its project or projects. A $50 administrative fee is also charged.

The minimum dues are $150 and the maximum are $1,550 (plus premium charges listed below). The $50 administrative fee is included in the minimum and maximum dues.

For those authorities at the $1,550 rate, the additional premium payment is outlined below.

Lease-Back

Dues for the calendar year: Not less than $150, nor more than $750, at the rate of one mil on each dollar of lease rentals. Note: An additional $50 administrative fee is assessed each lease-back member, in addition to the traditional rate of one mil per dollar of annual lease rentals. This index is included in the above mentioned minimum and maximum dues pertaining to lease-back authorities.

Associate Membership

Dues for the calendar year: $140 except in those cases where a given associate firm has more than one associate membership in PMAA. In such cases, dues for the first associate member of the firm shall be $140 and $70 for each additional member from the same firm.

Code of Ethics

The Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association recognizes the obligation of authorities to the public, to public officials, to incorporating municipalities, and to the bondholders.
