This year’s “More Great Ideas” Conference is full of new themes, ideas and schedules.

Keynote speaker Dr. G. Terry Madonna, one of Pennsylvania’s foremost authorities on Pennsylvania politics, will give an overview of our State’s political landscape during this important election year!

The More Great Ideas Conference will hold numerous Idea Labs, sessions dedicated to a wide range of topics, with an additional interactive focus encouraging attendees to share ideas and successes from their own authorities.

Again this year, PMAA’s Golf Tournament at the renowned Hershey Country Club East Course will be Sunday afternoon to allow for more accessible conference event scheduling.

Are you ready for some football? Join us for the kick-off of Monday night football and tailgating! Watch as the Minnesota Vikings take on the Washington Redskins. Test your sporting skills and enjoy food, fun and prizes. 

Because of last year’s great success, we will again feature our post banquet After Party for entertainment and socializing. 

This year, our Spouse’s Program includes a trip to Pennsylvania Dutch County & Kitchen Kettle Village. Included in our trip to PA Dutch County, a luncheon at the Good’N Plenty restaurant will feature authentic Pennsylvania Dutch food. Kitchen Kettle Village is an outdoor venue that consists of unique shops featuring anything from hand-made quilts to the Lancaster Smokehouse Shop. On Tuesday, a chef from the Hershey Lodge will give you tips on how to plan hors d’oeuvres for your next party or holiday gathering. In the afternoon, a ride on the Hershey Trolley will provide you with a memorable journey through the town “built on chocolate”.

At Wednesday’s Family Breakfast come and meet “The Riverman”! This living history presentation recaptures a time when rivermen floated timber fashioned as rafts down the Susquehanna River and its tributaries.

Again this year, our Trade Show will feature over 100 vendors, favors, prizes, receptions and food events. Networking Central!

ALSO NEW THIS YEAR: PMAA Operator Day! Invite your operators to Hershey on Tuesday, September 12th for this special operator training day. PMAA is offering certification training courses (DEP approved) for water and wastewater operators, complete with the largest industry trade show in Pennsylvania. Watch for registration details later this summer.
