ANNUAL CONFERENCE

PMAA conducts a statewide annual conference which provides an excellent opportunity for authority board members, administrative officials, and solicitors to exchange ideas and experiences, broaden acquaintances, and gain valuable information from the wide array of convention speakers and seminars.

The conference, which originated in 1943 in the Harrisburg Hotel, attracts over 1,100 people consisting of delegates, spouses, and speakers. Exhibitors are a large part of the annual conference, representing professions essential to the livelihood of municipal authorities such as engineers, computer specialists, and insurance and financial representatives. State agencies educate and provide current information on valued programs.

Also held during the conference is the awards banquet which recognizes and honors individuals for their dedication and service to Pennsylvania's municipal authorities.

WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS

PMAA also presents management workshops, authority board member training and an environmental symposium. Members hear the latest information regarding authority operations and procedures.

REGIONAL MEETINGS

PMAA divides the state into ten geographic regions. Each region holds two regional dinner meetings a year. These meetings enable regional members to acquire information through presentations from speakers along with networking opportunities.
